March Pet of the Month
Every month, The Residences at Forest Park Hotel honors one resident’s pet with the Pet of the Month title. Residents submit their pets to be chosen and create biographies about their pets to share with their neighbors.
March’s Pet of the Month award was given to three pets – Gracie, Mr. Spooky Boo Boo and Ruby Sue, resident Stacey Ludlum’s cats.
This furry threesome is as different as they could be! Gracie is the eldest at age 15, and is a shy Dilute Calico. She does not like to be picked up or to socialize with strangers or other cats, however, she is mellowing out in her old age and has become quite the snuggler. She is even a native St. Louisan! Mr. Spooky Boo Boo is the most social cat you will ever meet! He loves new people, often trying to help the cable man or plumber. Although his beautiful white coat and differently colored eyes make him stand out in a crowd, he was at a North Carolina shelter for over three months. Stacey adopted him as an adult, even after he had gotten into a restaurant grease vat and subsequently had to be shaved. Stacey knew he was a special boy eight years ago when he snuggled her face the first time she picked him up. Ruby Sue, the baby from Arkansas, is just under two years old but is the bully of the bunch! As a British Shorthair, she has a very unique personality, following Stacey around like a dog but also squirming out of any snuggles given. You can look at her, but you cannot touch her! Luckily, she loves to fetch and is fearless. Stacey and Ruby Sue are working on her leash skills to take her outside as an adventure cat!
